| OMG Has time ever flown by! | February 6, 2007 |
|
I can't get over all the time that has passed since my last post! Things have been pretty hectic. I'm taking a real estate licensing class for Illinois. Kevin is busy with work. Conner loves his new school. And, well, Jocelyn changes every day. On top of all of our normal every day lives, we're in the process of buying a house! The house was built in 1925. It has two bedrooms on the main floor along with a formal dining room, living room, bathroom and kitchen. The basement holds the laundry room, Kevin's future workshop, a half bath, and Conner's future bedroom. The entire 2nd floor is the master suite. There is a one car detached garage and a shed in the rear of the house with plenty of room for a two car garage at the alley access. The backyard is fully fenced (privacy on the sides and chain link across the rear). We close and take possession on February 28, 2007, if all goes smoothly. I suppose I should give everyone an update on Jocelyn... she's 17 months old now and what a talker. Her everyday vocabulary includes the following words: I'm sure there are many more, but I just can't seem to remember them all right now. She's also trying to dress herself these days. Of couse, she's not quite coordinated enough for it all, but it's cute to watch her take a sock to her feet and try to get it on. |

| Jocelyn is 13 months old and I've fallen behind | October 5, 2006 |
| SHE WALKS!! ALMOST!! She LOVES to walk around holding your hands and is getting very brave at taking off on her own. She can make it almost across Mom's living room without assistance. Of course, that goes to say, she's taken a couple of nasty spills. Every time I want to go and get her one year picture taken, she ends up with another bruise! Maybe this weekend! Other things she's accomplished this month: |

| Been playing around with yourgmap.com | October 5, 2006 |
| Started messing around with yourgmap.com and created a map of houses which look interesting to us. Here's the link to the map I created: Quincy Houses I'll be sure to add more as we really get serious about making a purchase. Currently, this is just a wish list of sorts of what is available on the market in town. |

| We're moving to Quincy | July 27, 2006 |
| Most everyone already knows this, but we're moving to Quincy. I swore when I left that I was never going to look back, but having a baby sure makes you see everything in a completely different light. I took a job as IS Manager at Transitions of Western Illinois (www.twi.org) My first day is August 28. Conner will start school at Quincy High School on Friday, August 25 as a half day. I still have to call and see what we will need to get him enrolled. He seems to be pretty excited about it. Katy will be staying in Lake Orion with her mom. She starts school September 4. We will be staying with my parents for a few months until we can get a place of our own. Mom has graciously volunteered to babysit Jocelyn for us (going to save us $$$). Kevin doesn't have a job yet, but I have no doubt it won't take him anytime at all to get one. We have his resume out to quite a few different places and are just waiting to hear back. A friend of mine will be staying in the trailer until we can get it sold. He'll look after the upkeep and make sure noone does any damage to it. |

| Photo Gallery is no longer broken! | 4/26/2006 |
| *Doing a happy dance* I fixed it! I fixed it! YAY! Actually, it's a whole new install of the most recent version of the software with the albums moved. I've updated all the links to point to the new version. You'll also notice it has a fresher color scheme. Hope you like it. Now to uploading more pictures! :D | |

| Photo Gallery is temporarily (I hope) broken... | 4/25/2006 |
| Over the past few days we've had our website moved to a different server so that we could get more space for hosting. Somewhere along the move, I screwed something up with the install of the gallery. We are going to try and fix it overnight tonight, but if it doesn't work, then it will probably be a week or so before we get it going again. | |

| Jocelyn and Cheerios | 4/24/2006 |
| Well, I am constantly amazed with how fast my little baby is blossoming. Just this past Monday, she decided it was time she started feeding herself. She screams and bats at your hand if you try feeding her and refuses to eat! So, we've been allowing her to try it herself and whoa! What a mess! :) I made a mini-movie of her tonight eating her cheerios. It cuts off awful abruptly because I ran the camera out of memory. Oops! Click here and you can view it. It is 10 mg in size, so it might take some time to download it for some of you. |

| I never would have thought that Jocelyn could change so much in just a few months. During her 8th month, she's been able to: |

| Jocelyn is now 7 months old! | 3/28/2006 |
| Wherever has the time gone! Our baby turned seven months old on Sunday! Her current accomplishments include: She is getting her Easter portrait taken this weekend with a real bunny rabbit. I can't wait to see how good they turn out. She's extremely photogenic (if I do say so myself). Pretty soon we'll have to set up an entire site just for her. |

| Jocelyn turns 5 months in one week! | 1/19/2006 |
| Can you believe she's going to be 5 months old already? I sure can't! So far, she can: She's such a happy baby. The girls at daycare can't believe how happy and sociable she is. She loves the attention from the toddlers in her room. If I remember, I'll try to post monthly milestones and updates. |

| Mini Movies of Jocelyn are now here!!! | 11/4/2005 |
| I have put together some short little movies of Jocelyn using our digital camera. They reside on our server at home, so the download time will be slow. The average movie is 3 minutes long and about 20 mg. You can get them by clicking **here**. Since this is on our local machine, our IP tends to change occassionally. Please let me know if you can't get to them so that I can go and change the IP address. |

| New Movie of Jocelyn's Ultrasound | 8/19/2005 |
| Hi all... Adam, a gentleman I work with, has completed a wonderful movie of all of Jocelyn's ultrasounds. He even added in some still shots and music too. It may take a moment or two to load, but be patient, it's worth it. Make sure you check out his site http://www.movingmoments.net/ to view what he does on the side. |

| New Pictures in the Photo Gallery | 8/10/2005 |
| Hi all... I added more pictures today of Jocelyn's last couple of ultrasounds. I forgot to bring in the really good profile shot. It's hanging on our fridge. Also added are maternity portraits that Kevin and I had taken in July. I have the actual prints so I'll make sure that everyone gets a copy. I just wanted to make sure that they were there for you to preview. One other thing, Adam, a gentleman I work with, is putting together a better movie of all of Jocelyn's ultrasound mini-movies. He's going to add in some still shots and music too. I'll be sure to post it here when he has it done. In the meantime, check out his site http://www.movingmoments.net/ to view what he does on the side. |

| I had ultrasound #6 on Tuesday and have uploaded some of her latest mini-movies. The files are almost 30 mg each, so be prepared for them to take a few minutes to download. They are short little movies too, so you have to look fast. She's smiling in one of them Click here to view them. |

| Family Tree Project | 5/9/2005 |
| Some of the old pictures have been posted
in the gallery. As I sort more pictures into the tree file I will
post them in the gallery as well. The tree file now covers 27 generations.

| Family Tree Project | 1/26/2005 |
| With all that is going on right now I have not spent much time on
the family tree. At present the count up to 705. This was added mostly to the extended Hart and
Gonyea branches. The tree view in PDF format is getting too big for a single page view.
So if you print out the multi page view which it will be saved in next update have a few extra
sheets of paper handy. |

| After a few corrections due to different spellings of names and adding some new "children of" entries the count is now at 564. | |

| Family Tree Project | 4/18/2004 |
| Another 15 people have been added to the tree along with several details added to existing entries. The focus is now on the Berndt branch of the tree. Hopefully as much information can be compiled as the rest of the branches taking us well into the 1800's on both sides. | |

| Family Tree Project | 7/18/2003 |
| Well this has grown by leaps and bounds. With the help of some of the geneology sites and the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia the count is now at 512 entries on the tree. | |

| Family Tree Project | 6/20/2003 |
| With the last updates for the Hart side of the family tree the count is now up to 150 entries. It did not take very long to get to that number with the records that Grandma Gonyea had collected for both the Eitel and Gonyea branches of the family. | |
