Bald Eagles on the Mississippi

These were taken on Sunday, Feb 4, 2007. It was all of 4 degrees outside when we went to watch them. If we had a better camera with a larger zoom, we could have snapped some awesome shots.

The eagles come here to feed on the fish behind the dams, where the river water does not freeze. It is estimated that at least 130 are in residence in our dam area.
